I think it is the opposite for bitcoin.
People will see that alts are mostly scams and bitcorn can be trusted because it's much bigger.
Please don't group the honest of us with the human filth of scammy altcoins
My point is the general public who knows little of cryptocurrencies in general is going to hear about this massive collapse and lump BTC in with it.
Yeah but the general public tend to be quite stupid.
The more the general public falls for Bitcoin scams the less general public we have left that's willing to use Bitcoin.
