Bitcoins core seems like it is set up to just keep going and that's one great thing about it that it doesn't need much tinkering with.

Exactly. He may be working on something we're already familiar or aware of or may be in the near future.
It would be funny if sataoshi was involved in some of these crapcoins. Of course I don't believe he is, but the idea is funny nevertheless.
I wish he would work on a project like Maidsafe or do he's own version of internet 2.0

It's funny to think that Satoshi is probably working on some altcoin/bitcoin 2.0 project right now, but I think it's true.
