if we wanna attract a lot of new people and immediately create a big network of masternodes, why not get rid of any requirement.

I am even thinking about none at all, ZERO, NADA.

Not 1 SPR as I said before.... better yet, why not 0 SPR.

We'll need some minimum amount just to protect form potential DoS attack at launch, we don't want someone to try to create millions of masternodes.

But shouldn't other requirements prevent this from happening anyway?
Like e.g. unique IP for every masternode (and the associated setup costs)?

I mean, how does darkcoin prevent DDos from the masternode side at this moment?
Anybody can just start a masternode, even if it hasn't 1000 DRK in it. But I believe the masternode shuts itself down rightaway, without even communicating to the network, right?
Or does it broadcast/recieve something even then? (Aside from the blockchain)
