DerYeghiayan was furious with other agents for seizing Karpeles' websites and meeting with his attorneys. He was afraid to tip Karpeles off that he was a target in the Silk Road investigation. The defense's story will likely be that Karpeles found out they were closing in on him on Silk Road and set up Ulbricht to save his own skin.
