If it's "only like $10" why not just make it right and get the trust ratings off your account?
Perhaps if the scam had been for $10k I'd see why you would not just cover the trouble. Just think of it as a $10 lesson to be more careful in the land of bitcoin, maybe next time instead of your forum account it will be your entire wallet of bitcoins that vanish.
You are right. I hope he won't blame you if his wallet is hacked!
@OP: What you did is very suspicious. You are/were a foundation member, so I think you can easily pay the $10 easily.
