Should be safe for sure. But its always recommended to just store small amounts there and create a cold storage for any larger amounts.
Keep in BTC only what you want to "play"(speculate) and nothing more. Do not keep large amounts in Bitcoin at all. The money must stay with "you"(house, bank) but not in BTC
