There are currently three major, acute development directions taking place for FIMKrypto:

- PAY WITH FIMK merchant service with automated market rate pricing and redemption for EUR, eliminating exchange rate risk for merchants accepting FIMK (big news when ready)
- Complete wallet remake to support smoother operation through websockets and mobile environments + custom NXT engine
- Planning and contracting negotiations for FIMK hardware payment terminal utilizing USB host connection and / or nationwide radio broadcast of realtime transactions (big news when ready)

In addition to these:

- promotion channels that have been discussed on forum.fimk.fi earlier this month, and marketing personnel, are being probed and activity plans prepared.
- web site remake is forthcoming
- association's web shop plaza using the decentralized market feature of FIMK 0.3.3, and the web interface, through which any company or individual can sell their wares, will become online by approx. March 2015.
