And has anyone actually claimed that they were scammed by gear.hashbase.com? That business seems legitimate.

as far as I know, gear hashbase is NOT owned by Josh/GAW, but it is owned by Prodigi. He's an honest person (he has obviously been mislead as well), but I know him personally and he's an honest guy.
