Has he redeemed the card? You should check. If he hasn't, he's probably acting as a man in the middle. Meaning he is waiting for someone else to redeem it and only then will he send you the BTC.

Others have complained before it took awhile to receive their BTC from him. Just have to wait it out I guess and sell to someone else next time.
