I'm really, really sorry. I just can't take the name seriously anymore.
I know it's meant to represent spreading the word, love, coins, etc, and all that good stuff.
But it's just such an unfortunately pornographic name. That might sound sexy, i.e. naturally aligned and will therefore be used to buy porn, but one imagines being taken for an unfortunate ride by spread. Now you mention fanboys and fangirls; I'm afraid that sealed the deal, so to speak.
Only a pervert would try to spin something positive into something sexual. But hey I can play your game too. I can say Darkcoin isn't the greatest name either. Im black so when I discuss crypto's with a few of my friends they say why does it have to be called DarkCoin and its be used to do a bunch of shady illegal shit. Thats racist. The hell is up with that. Who made that shit. That could cause a potential backlash if someone is ignorant enough to pull that card if it ever goes mainstream. Potential boycott of the coin by Reverend Al Sharpton. lmao I can troll too. I could be in the thread yelling racist coin all day long just to mess with people but im not. Cause thats ignorant and a waste of time. Just do work, actions speak louder than words. You'll see me working everyday to make this coin a top coin in anyway I can. I have a lot of ideas. I don't see you doing anything but typing words in a forum to fud a coin. do something productive with your time. Contact a few businesses spread the word about your coin. Do something constructive.
Hey, how's it going?
Would you believe you and I sort of agree on the darkcoin name.
I get lambasted by people in the darkcoin thread for saying the name suits now, but won't if it wants to go mainstream.
Do something productive? Sure, try here

Overstock, Dell & Dish: Pay Dividends in Bitcoin (make crypto more mainstream and support price stability)
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=781216.msg8805239#msg8805239Very interesting threads Coins101. I'd already read most of them. The recent one about crypto and torrents is particularly interesting. This is where I think anonymity will be of particular interest (for Torrent downloads). DRK and SPR have definite opportunities to get involved in these areas and instant transactions will also be key for on-line purchases that are likely in this space.
This stuff is what's going to push crypto along; unusual "sideband" (if I could call it that) applications where crypto really suits. I think there'll be much activity in these realms way before we see mainstream adoption.
