i'm trying to work out exactly what a "Sapphire" version is, i have 3 working v3's
If it says 'Rev 3.00' on the board, then that's the Sapphire. Beyond that there appear to have been 3 styles of heat sink production runs.The Block Erupter USB series is the second major product of Bitfountain. Its experimental batch (Emerald) has passed all tests.
The Emerald Batch
12 in total. Used for internal testing/profiling and gifts for developers.
The Sapphire Batch
This is the first batch under production in quantity. Its lead-time is conservatively 15-20 days.

Which is why I'd be a lot more interested in an Emerald (or other early production)
