Millions of automated simulations were run before launching and there didn't seem to be any issues. Even though the scratch ticket is randomized through software, the scratch order (every spot) is decided by the player, creating a large source of semi-randomness based on the players own decisions/intuition, allowing for large swings in luck/variance.
