Doesn't look like stellar.org is using Bitcoin but is just a fork of Bitcoin(or fork of another Litecoin, no reference topic here on bitcointalk.org yet that I've noticed), like any other Altcoin...right?

Still when looking at the about page for Stellar some developers who have prior experience with Bitcoin work there.
