Virtex hasn't closed down yet. In fact if you happen to still have fiat there, there are bargains to be had. People are panicking because they stopped BTC withdrawals for security reasons. It's kinda the opposite of MtGox 2 summers ago.

Where do you live? Most major cities have ATMs. My closest neighborhood ATM upped their commission from 5% to 7% recently but considering  Virtex's extravagant fees and the banking costs of transferring money there, it's a small price to pay for anonymity.

Virtex was my last resort. Too much government-pandering nosiness.
