Hi Guys,

Can I use the following power supply for two antminers S5 : http://www.fsp-europe.com/aurumpro1200.php

Thanks

yeah but try freq 343 for each one. run it for a day or 2.

i had the 1000 watt model. it is decent psu.

freq 343 wiil get you about 1125gh x 2 = 2250gh  if you are in europe and plane 220 volt that psu will have a little more power to spare.

As always I tell people evga 1300 g2 psu's but that is base on usa prices and usa 120 volt power

Beginning to believe that the evga 1300 g2 IS the way to go when powering two S5 home miners. Currently running 1x CX750M each and no excessive heat anywhere, miners running cool, great hashing speed at 350. No plans to change from 350 anytime soon. Not broke = don't fix.

Dogie! Either I'm missing an inside joke about you having no clue re fan swaps for the S5, or I'm somewhat confused and fairly disappointed. Considering the S5 is one of the very top choices today for home mining, and it is roundly agreed that they are loud considering their intended purpose. There are a dozen or so 120mm contenders out there that actually push some air. I don't need them whisper quiet, but surely shaving some db's is within the realm of possibility.

Do you not recommend anything at all no matter what - so as to not interfere with user warranty issues due to modding the fans? Something more sinister like sponsorships colliding?!

Would like to mod fan on S5. Would like to plug it directly into S5's 4pin on top. Don't need silence, but seems like there are 2K rpm fans out there making ~90-100 CFM at 30-40 decibels.

Anyone want to venture into the muck of this question? I'd also like to have spinners (LED's) in the fan just because why not?

thanks all. Dogie this site is my source for 95% all things bitcoin. Buy and sell gear here, trust your word, just want to hear from you on the subject. If there is an unbiased fan comparison somewhere would love to see it.

thanks!
