I think this will be the 3rd time I quote myself as people don't seem even care to read back or search the thread...
Staking is working absolutely fine. The network is highly competitive, thus stake difficulty is high, and if you do not have any basic understanding of how input optimization is achieved, you will be losing out on a lot of potential rewards, and you have no one to blame but yourself.

Here are instructions on how to split blocks for those unfamiliar with the process:
To split coin blocks, you need to enable the coin control features (wallet > settings > options > display > display coin control features). Then select one block at a time, and send it to yourself, adding your (same) address as the 'custom change address'. Manual block selection is achieved by opening send > inputs, and picking the desired block from the expanded list.
So say you start by selecting a 1000 XQN block. You then send yourself a transaction of 500 XQN, but specifying the change address as your own as well. Once you hit send, you will be splitting that 1000 XQN block into 2x 500, a primary transaction, plus change, back to your original address. Rinse and repeat as many times as necessary.
