He was saying just add the paperclip to the modular connector that houses the PS_ON wire and ground, that way you do not need the large 24 pin cable at all.

I personally find that hideous to look at so I make small jumpers (switched and non depending on layout) with the correct female connectors for all my modular PSUs.  It is much more zen for me.
