Hello,
I see no one's posted here since last year...
I recently decided to look into FPGA's again to see if anyone had managed to produce either a DIY or commercial version.
I saw the X6500 guys tried and probably sold a few for mining SHA-256 when it was still viable but that petered out pretty fast during the last 'adjustment' - crash! ...
Since then, has anyone been interested in or looking to re-program the X6500 for Scrypt mining or will that make the chips too power hungry much less capable of hashing at a decent / profitable rate in the first place?
I see the flgamining.com website is still up but there doesn't seem to be any activity since they announced shutting down the operations way back when.
Such a shame too. I really like their design. I mean 400MH/s at less than 15W is still efficient.
I'm still mining Scrypt with my5 chip GridSeeds since electricity is included in the rent Wink. They even still make me a whole dollar per day sometimes! Cheesy
Anyone know of any new FPGA designs in the works or available for us DIY techy's?
Peace!
