Yea I stopped going there because of the name change.  Pretty sure they suffered financial losses.  Why is the name change even being considered?

You can inform yourself by reading the last 50 pages or go to darkconitalk.org since you are invested. It was already discussed extensively on both forums so I don't really think we can start from the beginning again.
