I can't speak for this campaign but I think it's rare that people make much on referrals. I guess its random chance and the luck of the draw when you do but you'll need a big whale to click on your own signature to get a good payout, though it doesn't hurt putting your ref link in and its always a nice bonus even if its a bit of dust to play around with.
