I really like the concept of Morse code too, just remember, re-branding is a process. If and when we do proceed with a new name. In the short term we would have to go with the "D" logo and colors, if people go to coinmarketcap all of a sudden and see a different logo, colors and name, they will be mislead into thinking is something completely different. We need to continue with the current "D" or a very close spin-off, for a prudent period of time. And then after 6 months or something when we are already known by our new name, we can think of changing more if it is necessary.
I don't know man, I've seen big companies rebrand and what they do is completely do the changes and then do very diligent, deliberate and massive publicity so that everybody knows that there is a change taking place. It serves a couple of purposes, one is you don't exhaust people with constant brand changes; two, you educate everybody about the change; three, you get NEW people interested because the publicity was orchestrated in such a way to appeal to new consumers and businesses.
You raise good points, and I love the Morse code logo, but I love it with the full D. I guess we have to think carefully about how to proceed.
Thanks for replying I am not so sure now about what the best course of action would be. Hmmm I need to think about this part more. We all need to keep an open mind to let ideas flow, thank you.
EDIT: After thinking about it for a while I do still believe a transition period is needed before moving completely away from logos and colors. Maybe after 6 months or something, depending on where we are, we can revise it.
