You are not addressing my points about the importance of devs respecting their community.  You are just complaining that I had the temerity to make them.

If you sell a black car to someone who likes black cars, but then sneak into their garage one night and paint it pink ("because reasons"), that is NOT OK.

I am addressing your points.

Maybe you bought into a name - in which case I can understand your problem, what you bought is gone. But it isn't gone because the dev "made a unilateral decision on a whim". It's gone in response to BOTH community pressure AND customer pressure from prospective merchants. So that's why I don't agree with you that the dev "hasn't respected the community".

Unlike you, I didn't buy into a name. I bought into a concept, a uniquely powerful technology that deploys a dual layer approach to solving problems that all cryptocurrency suffers from and one of the most creative & industrial projects in all of crypto.

For me, I see the rebranding as positively preserving that investment and giving it a future - totally consistent with what I bought into.

As I say, it's a market. Markets are for reconciling subjective valuations of the same asset. So if you sell and I hold, the market will take account of both points of view  Wink
