So the lead dev has a private key which lets him control all the MasterNodes? Why does he need to control all MasterNodes? In the future, will he be in control or is this just temporary and if so how long will this continue?

Someone check my math:
5 * 0.93 DRK / block * 0.4/MN * 576 blocks / day * 1 MN / 2300 MN = 0.4658 DRK / MN / day
So 0.4658 DRK/MN/day * 3.25 USD / DRK = 1.51 USD / MN / day
In reality it can be a little higher since the mining difficulty sometimes drops enough to raise the payout (that's a special feature of DASH).
