He was abusing an exploit which allowed him to have unhashed server seed. He thus knows the result of the next roll.

there is actually a server hash which roll out the random number when we are playing, he knew the server hash, unveal the secret number of the hash and resulted that he knew what numbers will come up next, that is why he manage to do a winning roll since he knew what number gonna comes out next
