You probably should help in promoting the coin. Most coins die from a lack of interest, being a pump n dump scam, or faulty/ non- working tech. It looks like the coin works, the dev seems to be active and working on this regularly, so all thats left is promotion. Promote the coin, generate some interest in what is already here and then you might see prices rise. A coin with limited supply and a huge community can generally do well as long as the dev and the coin can avoid scams and FUD.

I dont have any skin in this game, i was just checking things out cause i saw McKnight here.

EDIT: xaucoin- you might want to decrease block times in the future to make sending and receiving coins between the exchange and wallet faster. people love a fast coin. Also, what are your plans when you hit maximum coin supply? You will still need people mining with PoW for the transactions to go through. Im a miner, I won't mine for tx fees alone unless the value is extremely high. PoS is an option, even if staked blocks are only .00001 + tx fees. just a thought

EDIT 2: xaucoin- also, i do like the fact you targeted solo miners in your op. This is a big plus in my book. You gained a lot of respect for that alone.

xaucoin does have a 1 min block target which is really the minimum for safe transaction stability

it is hoped that transaction volume would be higher when we hit maximum supply

PoS is not really an option for xaucoin as we wanted to test the Bitcoin model fast forward so no inflation 2.1 million XAU and thats it

however I can understand that this will not fill the market with confidence as this is an uncharted situation

we continue trying to attract new exchanges and goods and service providers and do twitter giveaway and new faucets

solo mining for transaction fees luck box style is the best approach hoping that as we progress people will consider a xaucoin holding with decentralized mining directly onto the wallet even with low hashing usb asic this is the only incentive to mine

the best example for what you are describing is probably Crypto Bullion which has some interest and inflation albeit very low level percent

xaucoin is much more similar to Unobtanium where rarity and scarcity has shown to work much better in maintaining price and value

@xaucoin, I appreciate the response. I did start solo mining since difficulty is so low using my old usb miners. I do look forward to seeing where you take this and will follow you via twitter. I wont have many coins when you hit max coin generation but with the rarity, the dedication you seem to have, and a growing community, I'm hopeful it will make it worth while.
