Thanks for the info. The previous version of the wallet gave a warning message that staking was suspended due to the wallet being locked. I just assumed when I saw the red lock onscreen it would act the same if not unlocked.
Which leads me to ask, and perhaps I'm being a little too obtuse, what does the Unlock Wallet for POS option if not unlock the wallet for staking?
I can not answer you to this question, but I do know of some coins, including stake and hyper works without unlocking. This is verified not only by me but also by many people. I think this is also the developer will have to confirm. I can also show screenshots of my purse without unlocking, if needed.
I am 99% sure you do need to unlock the wallet to be able to stake! If the padlock is red you are not staking. I will contact PalmDetroit the windows wallet dev to 100% confirm this. Myself I have NEVER staked while the wallet is locked.

Algorithm is Scrypt but HYPER is 100% proof of stake now. However the algorithm used is still Scrypt. HYPER can be mined at the multipool at http://coinking.io

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has been supporting HYPER.
We are working on a number of things behind the scenes and the next couple of weeks are going to be big
