For what that "pattern" is worth, wouldn't you think that's a bit too simplistic to validate your hypothesis upon?
I wouldn't be that quick in decision if the hypothesis wasn't confirmed several times before that.
At the moment, the "invisible hand of the market" overrules any "pattern". There is simply not enough data points right now to come to a reliable assumption.
Once it is confirmed correctly and tested several times, then you can upgrade from hypothesis to theory.
