Edit: I personally think the view key is a sweet idea..both projects have some awesome inovation I hedge with each


From what I can tell, icepick came here early in March to stir up a hornets nest to get people talking about Monero. It was suffering in price and they needed a bit of action on the exchanges to dump their coins before Zerocash comes out.
