We are glad to help you, but I think everybody who is seriously interested in the success of NEM doesn't want the NEM team to waste its time that much.

is it unsafe to do just local harvesting?
No, but then you can only harvest on your local node (=NIS). If you want to harvest on a remote NIS and turn your computer off while it keeps harvesting for you, you need to activate delegated harvesting, connect to a remote NIS and then start delegated harvesting.
