Yeah I know they can keep some stuff. But we at least need the source code to be able to work on the chip.
We are currently working to use the BM1384 for a new board. If we cant get more documentation on the controller and the chip, Im not sure we will be able to continue the project, unfortunatly.

The controller looks like a plain old SPI + I2C adapter and GPIO button card than anything else to me. The SPI port is used to communicate to all the chips in a chained SPI bus, and the I2C bus is used to communicate to the temp chips.
