I simply can not get it to use the right fork. I am guessing that I am simply having problems with the client using the new config information. I don't really know.

 

Set up windows wallet (get the qt wallet from the OP):

1. Delete all files except wallet.dat

2. Set up EnergyCoin.conf which can be downloaded from here:
http://coinmagi.org/files/energycoin/EnergyCoin.conf

3. Download the block chain from following link:
http://coinmagi.org/files/energycoin/Save_blockchain_EnergyCoin_block1051199_Crypto4Jan.zip

4. Delete peers.dat (are in the ZIP)

5. Run qt wallet.

Sync to the new blockchain first. After your block height is over 1054525, type this command at the console:

getblockhash 1054525

It should return you: 0000069fe492a858cd98eb67f11137b5568dd84c0327483817b8c55a881aa8af

If not, you are still on the wrong fork. You will need to do the steps 1 to 5 carefully again.


Remark: for those still stuck with the last official block height 1051199 and never connected to the wrong fork before, there is no need to do steps 1 and 3.
