Was your wallet encrypted, but unlocked 'for staking only'? Or was it entirely unencrypted?
Entirely unencrypted as had been having to move wallets around due to Seagate HDDs failing left right and centre.
Not sure if other users had their wallets encrypted or not.
Sorry, bro, you've got no one or nothing to blame but yourself if that's the case.
Next time encrypt your wallet. You can still move your wallet.dat from HDD to HDD when it's encrypted.
Wow thanks for that. I am blaming myself but I also have to blame the low life who targeted the ARCH holders and hacked some of us.
I realise that in the ideal world I should have the wallet encrypted with some unbreakable password.
However in reality when you have multiple wallets staking and you want a unique password you have to use a password wallet.
I do normally use both for high value coins. In this case the Arch value wasn't that high until a week or two ago and I'd been
fighting failing HDDs on the staking server. Did you know certain Seagate HDDS are have 50% failure rate each year.
Lucky me I had those drives. So I had been doing many restarts and unlocking a whole lot of wallets everytime was not on my priority list.
This weekend the replacement drives were going to get it all sorted
Anyway I learned my lesson the hard way about encrypting wallets.
I was not asking for pity, donations etc, my post was a warning to other ARCH holders to be aware so they don't lose their balance as well.
Meanwhile you might want to keep any eye out for the movement of rich list #47 who has a wallet full of stolen coins.
