I personally switched pools to one of the smaller ones Atleast temporarily.
I really like deepbit and the site is definitately one of the best around, I just think it's worth it to spread the 'power' around.
The pool I switched to also doubled (Atleast) in size since my switch.
Is there something going on I don't know about?
