snagit is a paid one isn't it?
For free (Windows) you can use CTRL+PRINTSCREEN then paste the image into Paint and crop as needed.
In windows 8 you can use the "snipping tool". It is free and comes with Windows.
Yes snagit is a paid one last I knew of. Also photo bucket works nicely with this site as another place to store pictures.
