Also we are now beginning to build up a momentum, infrastructure etc. and that is the "only" adventage Bitcoin has and it is what makes its value now.
At this point everything rises and falls with Bitcoin. Every crypto is linked to Bitcoin and that's bad for NEM, too. NEM has to shake Bitcoin off and be a standalone-thing.
The only way to standalone is to have multiple USD <-> XEM exchange options/websites.
