I understand a large potion of the crypto community is very short-sighted. Though I believe through constant development and upgrades to XMS we WILL overcome this!
Even the "big guys" often look out for coins with potential. I mean, who would invest in a coin which does not make progress? For that reason, I think regular updates and improvements are indeed necessary. Much more to come. This is just the beginning of XMS.
