Notice that the God of the Bible only destroys those who are against Him.
So it's "worship me or I kill you and you'll burn in hell!"
Isn't that exactly like the abusive husband that tells his wife he'll kill (destroy) her if she leaves (is against) him?
We don't put up with that kind of behavior in society, why would we put up with it in religion? Give a strong NO! to your god and go to a shelter (aka get an education).
Luckily, more and more people are doing that in record numbers every day.
No, it's worship God because that is what mankind was made for.
If you have a garden tool that breaks, you might fix it, or at least attempt to. If you find out that trying to fix it is taking longer than it would take to buy a new one, you throw the broken one in the trash.
God is putting up with your kind of behavior regarding Him and religion, because it is His way of trying to mend you, a broken tool. If you won't let Him fix you, He doesn't really have any use for you. Into the trash of Hell you go.
Punishing people for all eternity is vindictive like a spoiled child. He could just wipe the slate clean and start the sand box over again. I don't beat my hard drive with a hammer and burn it up when the OS stops working. I erase it and start over.
There you go with your spoiled-child mentality again.
