Block time of COV is decreasing & becoming more regular!
I have downloaded all of the blocks, and done some measurements.
Why? I was interested to see if the highly irregular, and very slow block time (at the end of April)
... has now been improving since we put so much effort into this, by running 24/7 staking nodes, etc.
Here is some statistics:
I have made moving averages over 10 or 20 blocks; calculated the mean
= how long do I have to wait for the next block, on average.
And standard deviation (square root of variance)
= how much are the block times differing from that average value?
(if standard deviation were 0, then all blocks came out after the exactly same number of seconds).

The results:
Summary:
The average10 and average20 have gone down, from over 2000 seconds (~30 minutes) to less than 1000 seconds ... that is great. COV is still slower than bitcoin, but not much.
The stdev10 and stdev20 have gone down, that is also good, because the unpredictability of the moment of arrival of the next block is reduced.

Still, it would be nice to somehow make the coin rhythm cleaner - one of the first tasks for our new dev.
Or is it only a question of more of us staking our coins?

The results:
- Anyways ... if this works out, IMHO we have proven that
opportunity PLUS action PLUS money PLUS knowledge PLUS discipline ... can cooperate:- opportunity = given by CovenDev
- action = initiated and executed by drakoin
- money = provided by spartak_t
- knowledge = shared by tx42
- discipline = the unknown big guy who is properly staking his ~2000 coins.
- There is a real chance that COV can be saved.
- ... by us magicians ourselves!
