I second that! I'm a fully converted Linux guy now   (Ok I admit once in a while I still log into Windows to play games) Seriously though, I'm using the Xfce 64bit edition and it's totally awesome.
I would never have dared run 64bit win 7 with only 4gb of ram on my machine. Mint uses a lot less resources and 4gb is more than enough, everything super responsive
