You didn't vote three times... Well, you did, because you can change your vote to "nay" and back to "yea", or in your case "nay nay nay" or  "yea yea yea" ... which is actually funny, because one of my favourite bands is called "Yeah Yeah Yeahs"  

 ... but not three independent votes... your disappearing vote is a gui bug. The vote is in fact recorded, the masternode just "forgets" what it voted, but the network knows. This has been addressed is v.23

 About the script, that will always have to be personalized. You can just copy someone else's script, but there can be no generic official one. Some people just wget in the home folder, others into ./dash, other prefer to usr/bin... others aren't even on debian to start with.
