Patient and discipline are two most important factors which differentiate between winner and loser.

I once played a six-hour session of 2-10 Stud (Horseshoe, Tunica, circa '98), zero ante with a button, where I never entered a chip into the pot ONCE, even when I had I split aces, but the other two were up, thus drawing dead. The texture of the game was that even if I raised the max, I would've had too many callers, with even one being too many, thus folded. It was an excellent game that I couldn't participated, but knowing full well that there'll be another game tomorrow that'll be just as good.
Them cards!
