EDIT: As a side note from what I understand, BTC.com payments lapsed and the domain went to the original owner who then leased out the domain name to Bitcoinist completely outside the purview of GAW. I "Think" this is what happened.
As a side note the current site was designed, scoped and the monetization plan outlined several months ago. That plan came online today. I call shenanigans on the no involvement part.
