well isn't bitinstant credit card coming... that might open the door for some real world merchant (little too big but catchy example would be Wal Mart... xD), who comes into btc business.... 
That will give a boost to bitcoin economy for sure. Not quite sure it will "stabilize" tough.
BTW it is not a credit card but a prepaid card
