There is absolutely no reason that you should be waiting to provide your cold storage wallet, other than some fishy excuse. Why are you waiting a few days to do something that would take 30-60 seconds? That's unreasonable and the only thing I can think of is that you're planning to make a runner with the deposited BTC.
