IIRC, dooglus once posted some stats about JD and there was an amazing 32 loss streak and another 30 loss streak with 49.5% bets.
For comparison, the chance to have 9 losses with 90% bets is comparable to 30-31 losses with 49.5% bets.
I'd say it's just bad luck. I've looked at the code for betterbets and moneypot and can assure you that there is no rigging involved in bets. The way that betterbets uses the API for placing bets over moneypot is secure.
