Samsara will create a business which focuses on the sourcing and purchasing of chinese antiques which will then be held or sold for profit. Initial business operations will begin in Zhengzhou, a city in which the samsara team have experience in. Expansion will be sought into the Beijing Curio and then our own antique shop which will be located in areas of tourism interest.
Steps of creation and development
Sourcing antiques for initial foundation in Zhengzhou
Zhengzhou is home to one of the 3 largest Curio Cities. In its four levels it sells a range of paintings, wood craft and antiques. Zhengzhou is a great place for our business to start as the product range is varied and unorganised creating the opportunity to find some hidden gems. Myself and another Samsara team members are the ones who are journeying to china. My partner speaks the language and has contacts with people who specialise in chinese antiques in the US and Europe. I have knowledge on chinese antiques, origins and their rough market value. We will use our funds to purchase quality antiques that we can sell for a markup either online, to my partners contacts, or in our own curio stall.
Renting our own curio stall in Zhengzhou
Zhengzhou's curio is essentially a hyper car boot sale from a westerners perspective. People come to this curio to offload suitable items they wish to get rid of while other main curios are viewed as more structured and professional. We plan to make a stall that people can come and sell their stuff instantly for a fair price and in the meantime selling the stuff on our various outlets as mentioned above. We will get a range of valuable and less valuable things but people are interested in buying all sorts of things at this curio. More valuable things will be kept until we decide the most profitable way to sell them while less valuable things will be sold on the stall.
Creating a website for more valuable antiques to reach a worldwide market
More valuable antiques will be sold online on our website. It will also accept Samsara Coin. This is the best way to reach dealers and enthousiasts worldwide who can/will often pay a higher price than those in china.
Expansion into Beijing Curio
the Beijing Curio is a lot more structured and is more like a shopping centre with shop areas inside. Our next route of expansion is to rent a shop space in here and sell more exclusive antiques. The Beijing Curio has more reach to tourists visiting china and provide an ideal market to sell some of the more interesting antiques we have sourced. The Zhengzhou Curio will still be operated and provide the source of most of our antiques unless we find alternative places to source.
Timescale
If all goes to plan we believe we will have generated enough revenue from Zhengzhou's stall to expand to Beijing in the 2nd year of operation.
Website will be created and running in the first 3 months of Business launch as it will take time to acquire valuable antiques to sell online. We will also create our own SMSR to fiat markets or find somewhere who can host them for us.
In the 3rd year of operations we hope to implement Samsara being accepted in our shop and stall with a promotion drive and also getting other merchants in the Curio's to accept the payment method.
Each business quarter we will re-asses our progress and chances for the coming quarter and year with a report which will be published online.

Samsara members going to china will fund their own travel and accommodation.
