Until they take their account back and you've got nothing. I don't see any way to guarantee an account wouldn't be hijacked by the original owner.
Well an escrow can be used. If you try something fishy, the escrow will give the account bad rep making it pretty useless. Of course people still buy Hero account with bad rep because its so valuable. But as far as I know there is no way to regain the pass once you've given it to anyone. Even if you dont control the email, because the email in this forum is useless.
