Hi
ok, still new at your pool.
if this has been asked before, sorry; but with 29 pages of forum talk, I could not find it.
1) can you tell me how you get " Norm. Profit " from the hub page?
I have just come from westhash and need some idea as how to compare your listing of payout and their posting of payout.
2) is there a way to slow down the coin changing when doing an ALog mining?
my miners loose so much through put changing and then running up through the Vair. Diff.
and no the two coins do not use the same, Vair. Diff. .
thanks
Hi
Good to see you.
1) You can see more info about normalized profit by mouse over the green text "Norm. Profit" from the homepage.
--------
Normalized Profit
Measured each algo's hashrate based on AMD R9 280x
and normalized relatively to compare profitability across different algos.
Groestl = 4.8
Keccak = 486
Lyra2RE = 1.2
Myriad-Groestl = 24.4
NeoScrypt = 0.3
Scrypt = 1
Scrypt-N = 0.46
Skein = 347.2
Quark = 6
Qubit = 7.84
X11 = 5.5
X13 = 3.8
X15 = 3.4
-------
I think it's enough to say about normalization and not normalization.
If you want to compare it with westhash, then switch to "No Norm." which is next to "AMD", "Nvidia"
Here is direct url for it.
https://miningpoolhub.com/?page=home&normalize=none(I frequently see many algos that are profitable. Sometimes you would get more coins than before when you just rent and mine)
"No normalization means", we calculate the expected profit and it shows plain BTC / GH / Day.
Calculation is based on "net difficulty, coin amount per block, coin price, coin amount on buying orders at exchange sites, block finding luck". In real world, there's delay on network and expected profit don't match as ideal actually. So "block finding luck" which is retrieved from few weeks of mining statistics from our pool is also applied. So this expected profit is more accurate than other statistics from just coin wallet calculation.
2. I think I have inform you mining types.
Connection is closed only when algo changes.
Algo switch mining don't close connection and it just smoothly changes between coins. If you mine only x11 algo, then it will switch dash, startcoin, fractalcoin with no interrupt, no waiting time, and with optimized vardiff value continually.
You can try this type of mining. These are called Algo switch mining and port range is 17XXX
Multi-algo switch (port range is 12XXX) changes between algo time to time and connection is closed time to time too. It doesn't close connection if it doesn't have to (like changing same algo coins) but, it will eventually need to disconnect sometime to change algo and your diff level will be reset.
At this situation, you can set starting difficulty for each algo by setting like d=0.01
Setting starting diff value info is written here.
