Now I'am definitly confused , I know it's tow different countries but price can't be that different .

as I said I know he was speaking about UK and you are speaking about US but it can't be that different It totally depends on the area you end up in and what standard of living you want. If you want your own apartment in San Francisco or New York then it might be thousands a month.
If you're sharing somewhere in the mid west then it might be $500 a month for a room.
