Uhhh...just to let you know, "chartist" is an old-fashioned term that means exactly what it implies: someone who likes making forecasts from reading price charts. The people miffed by the term prefer to be known as "technical analysts" or "trend-and-cycle analysts."

With that out of the way...how the floop did "chartist" become seen as a racial slur??
